URAC and Telemedicine Magazine co-hosts this 2-1/2-day event that brings together some of the best and brightest healthcare experts in the country to deliver solid, innovative and valuable information on the business of telehealth. The mix of panel discussions and presentations will focus on specific goals,real data, perspectives of measuring quality, legal and regulatory issues, creative partnerships, business models, and more.

The Telemed Leadership Forum is designed for executives and physician leaders from hospitals and health systems, physician networks, health plans, academic medical systems, and telehealth providers, as well as government regulators/policy makers.

Arkansas’ Innovative, Consultative Telehealth Service: A Model for Reaching Medically Underserved Areas

Through its Antenatal and Neonatal Guidelines, Education and Learning System (ANGELS) telehealth program, the University of Arkansas for Medical Science has been able to reach medically underserved communities and drastically reduce infant mortality rates in the state. The program was innovative when it began in 2002, and it continues to be a proven success in achieving its objectives. Dr. Lowery presents best practices from this program, which is a model for other specialties and states to learn from.
